We strongly encourage couples to seek an accredited, licensed counselor for pre-marital counseling – of which I am not. Judith is an Ordained Minister and Certified Wedding Officiant, so she cannot offer you any type of pre-marital counseling whatsoever.
Some good options for you to find a resource in your area include looking for community clinics or teaching hospitals near you. In addition, you can check out the American Psychological Association or the National Association of Social Workers to find affordable counselors located within your area. I also recommend your local churches, or even colleges and universities if you are near where you attended your post-secondary education.
Planning this proactively is important, as most programs can last 6-10 weeks, and it is certainly well worth the effort.
Some suggestions are listed below for you to consider bringing with you to your counseling sessions for discussion.
